We used to write these quotes. Now we read them for you.
Is it worth AED 99 to know whether your renovation quote is fair?
Send it over and you'll have a written answer in one working day. We'll tell you what's priced too high, what's been left out that comes back later as an extra, and what to sort out in the contract before you sign.
“If the quote is a good one, we'll tell you that. You'll have spent 99 dirhams to stop worrying about it.”
In Dubai since 2004
Twenty-two years here. We've worked through the crash, the recovery, and most of the ways a job can go wrong.
Swedish-founded
We work the Swedish way. Plain numbers, plain language, and nothing hidden in the small print.

No commissions, ever
We don't build and we don't supply. Nobody pays us except you, so we've got no reason to tell you anything but the truth.
The people who price renovations aren't the people to ask if the price is fair.
We used to write those quotes. Carefully pricing the lines clients compare, and thinly the ones they never check. Putting the provisional sums where they'd be least argued with.
It isn't dishonest. It's just the trade, and everyone in it knows the moves. But you're the one paying, and you can't see all of it.
So before you let anyone check your quote, ask one thing: who gains from the answer?
A builder who reads your quote and then hands you their own price for the same job isn't giving you a second opinion. They're giving you a sales pitch you paid for. Their number might even be a good one. But nobody can be the referee and a player at the same time.
We don't build. We don't supply. We take no commission. So when we tell you your quote is fair, there's nothing in it for us either way. That's the whole point of asking us.
- 1Send the quotePDF, Excel, or photos of the pages. Add drawings or room sizes if you have them. The more we see, the better the answer.
- 2Pay AED 99One fixed fee. Nothing recurring, and no estimate that quietly grows later.
- 3We read itSomeone who has priced this kind of work reads it the way the person who wrote it did.
- 4You get the answerWritten comments inside one working day, by email and on WhatsApp.
Four things, in writing, inside one working day.
What's priced wrong
Rates that are too high for what this work costs in Dubai now. And just as often, the cheap line that's only cheap because it isn't the whole job.
What's been left out
Work that isn't in the price but will have to happen anyway. This is what comes back as an extra in month three, when the walls are open and you've got no leverage left.
What the contract is missing
No completion date. No penalty if they run late. Payment stages loaded at the front. No retention held back. The paperwork costs owners more than the rates do.
A straight answer
Sign it, go back with questions first, or keep looking. One of those three, said plainly, with our reasons. You're paying us for an opinion, so you'll get one.
This is a fast read of one quote by someone who knows the work. It isn't a full measured check of every quantity against your drawings. That's the DBI Quote Check, and the 99 comes off it in full.
If you go further with us, the fee comes off.
If you want the full line by line review afterwards, or a session with us before you commit, the 99 comes off the price. We can do that because what you'd be paying for next is more advice. Not a building contract we're hoping to sell you.
Send your quote
Takes two minutes. You pay after you send it, and the clock starts when the payment lands.
Your quote is with us.
One thing left, the AED 99. Your working day starts the moment it comes through.
Before you send it.
Will you contact my contractor?
No. Not ever. We don't tell them you asked, we don't approach them, and your details go to nobody. If you'd rather, blank out their name before you send it. We're reading the rates and the scope, not the letterhead.
What if the quote turns out to be good?
Then we tell you it's good and you sign it without worrying. That happens a lot, and it's a fine result for 99 dirhams. We've got no reason to invent a problem, because there's no building contract at the end of this that we're hoping to win.
How is this different from the AED 495 Quote Check?
This one is a quick read of a single quote, back in a day. The Quote Check is the full job: every quantity, exclusion and allowance measured against your drawings, with a proper report and the questions to send back to your contractor. Start here if you need an answer this week. The 99 comes off the full check if you go on with it.
Can you look at more than one quote?
Send up to three and we'll tell you where they differ. That's usually the more useful answer anyway, because the totals almost never cover the same work. For a full tender to compare, that's Tender Intelligence.
Who actually reads it?
A construction professional who has priced this kind of work in Dubai. Not software. And not Marcus or Clara, the AI hosts in our guides. They present our content and have nothing to do with advising you.
