When your buyer asks what the renovation would cost, give them somewhere independent to ask.
Buyers of resale apartments and villas often want to change the property, and the renovation is usually the part nobody can answer at a viewing. DBI's Pre-Purchase Renovation Review gives the buyer an independent view of the likely scope and budget before they decide.
Before the purchase, and after it.
Pre-Purchase Renovation Review
A review of the listing, plans and intended changes, one property visit subject to access, a concise written summary of likely scope, indicative budget range and constraints, and one follow-up call. Paid by the buyer. Fixed fee confirmed before booking.

For a new owner ready to renovate: a defined scope and tender documents, tendering to suitable contractors and a like-for-like comparison of their offers, with owner's representation during the works available separately.

- The buyer is DBI's client. The written summary goes to the buyer, who decides who else sees it.
- The review is candid. It may confirm a property is a good candidate for the buyer's plans, or it may not.
- It is not a structural survey, an intrusive inspection, a fixed contractor quotation or a guarantee of any approval.
- We cannot promise that a review will help any particular sale complete.
- Access for the visit is arranged with you, the buyer or the seller, and confirmed before the fee is agreed.

Discuss an introduction
A short conversation about how the review works and when it suits a buyer. Please do not include a buyer's name or contact details here unless they have agreed.

Who pays for the review?
The buyer. It is a paid service with a fixed fee that DBI confirms in writing before the buyer books.
Do brokers receive a commission or referral fee?
No. DBI does not pay referral commissions and does not accept them. The buyer needs to be able to rely on the advice being independent, and so do you when you recommend it.
Will the review help the sale go through?
It gives the buyer a clearer picture, and a buyer who understands the renovation can decide with more confidence. But the findings are candid and written for the buyer. Sometimes they will make a property less attractive, and we cannot promise any outcome for a sale.
Who receives the written summary?
The buyer. They decide whether to share it with anyone else, including their broker.
Can I share a buyer's contact details with you?
Only with the buyer's permission. The simplest route is to forward them the link or message on this page and let them contact us themselves.
How quickly can a review be arranged?
It depends on access to the property and on the buyer's decision date. We confirm what is achievable before the scope and fee are agreed, so nobody is relying on a date we cannot meet.
