This explains what we ask you for, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us, book a strategy session, request a quote check or pre-purchase review, download a checklist, subscribe to our newsletter, or make a partner introduction, we ask for some combination of:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your company name, where relevant
- Details about your property — type, size, community, and what you are planning to do
- Where you are in the process, your timing, and your budget range
- The value of quotations you have received
- Anything you write in a message box
Documents you upload
Some of our services ask you to send us contractor quotations, drawings or specifications. These often contain commercially sensitive information, and sometimes the personal details of third parties such as your contractor or designer. We treat them as confidential. We use them only to carry out the review you asked for, and we do not circulate them.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site we also record how you arrived and how you move through it. This includes the page you landed on, the site or advert that referred you, campaign tags from links you clicked, and an anonymous analytics identifier. If you arrived from a Google or Meta advert, the click identifier that advert generated is recorded with your enquiry so we know which advert produced it.
Why we use it
- To answer you. To reply to your enquiry and carry out the service you asked for.
- To prepare your advice. To review your quotations, scope or drawings and give you a considered opinion.
- To keep a record. To maintain our records of the work we have done and the advice we have given.
- To send you the newsletter, if and only if you asked for it.
- To understand which of our adverts and pages work, so we stop paying for the ones that do not.
What we never do
This matters more to us than the rest of this page, because our whole service depends on it.
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, for any amount.
- We do not pass your name, phone number or email to contractors, suppliers or fit-out companies so they can approach you. We take no commissions from contractors or suppliers, which is precisely why we have no reason to hand you over.
- We do not share the quotations or drawings you send us with other contractors to help them price against you.
The one exception is obvious and only happens on your instruction: if you engage us to run a tender on your behalf, we share the scope of works with the contractors you have agreed to invite. Even then we share what is needed to price the job, not your personal details beyond what the process requires.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of established providers to run the business. They hold information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives the forms you submit.
- Google — Google Analytics tells us how the site is used; Google Ads tells us which adverts produced enquiries. Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Meta — if you complete a form inside a Facebook or Instagram advert, Meta collects that form and passes it to us.
- Our own systems — enquiries are routed into our internal records so nothing is lost between a form and a reply.
Some of these providers are based outside the UAE, which means your information may be stored or processed abroad.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records and project correspondence for as long as we may reasonably need them — while we are advising you, and afterwards as a record of the advice we gave. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your information and we have no ongoing reason to hold it, we will.
Your choices
- See it. Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you.
- Correct it. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask us to erase your information and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
- Stop the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
- Limit tracking. You can block cookies in your browser. The site will still work; our analytics will simply not see you.
Write to dubaibuildinsider@gmail.com for any of these. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technology for two things only: to measure how the site is used, and to connect an enquiry back to the advert or page that produced it. We do not use them to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not run advertising trackers belonging to third parties on this site.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
